Watson Immigration Law has been busy with community events and holiday celebrations! Where did 2012 go? Here is a summary:
Start-Up Legal War Stories Workshop:
The workshop held on December 10th was a great success. With some 20 people in attendance, the interaction was lively and incredibly useful for the attendees. As some of the speakers were imparting expert knowledge, a few attendees realized that those pitfalls applied to them and required immediate assistance! Thank you to all the attendees for making the effort to join us, thanks to my Start-Up Law Talk colleagues for taking the time to speak, and thank you to the Eastside Incubator for hosting us. Our next workshop will be January 14th 2013 and it will be all about H1bs. With numerous requests to web stream our workshops, we are actively looking to see if the H1b workshop can be broadcast on the web. Watch this space! And if you have suggestions on how to webstream, please let me know!
An organization without which I simply cannot practice law is the American Immigration Lawyers Association. The Washington Chapter held its annual holiday party on December 6th in Seattle. the event was well attended by many members, people I consider friends, mentors and colleagues. Many distinguished guests from various government agencies attended too. It was lovely to catch up with everyone.
Watson Immigration Law Holiday Party 2012:
We celebrated the holidays at a fantastic gathering hosted by Salty’s in West Seattle. It was great to have all of us together. 2012 has been a busy work year for us, but also an eventful one for me as it seemed I was pregnant most of the year with a beautiful daughter as a reward. Busy is an understatement!
Thank you to everyone at Watson Immigration Law for working so hard, thanks to all our friends and well-wishers and thank you to Salty’s for hosting such a wonderful party for us!
